Starting 2016 in the Mountain West in Vail, Colorado was the perfect way to being the year. There was not a cloud in the sky, it was a perfect blue bird day, and I had the great company of visiting friends. The slopes were relatively empty, probably because people were trying either hungover or tired, but I will take it! It is rare to find no lift lines on a weekend/holiday ski day. We took only one break to eat out packed peanut butter and jelly lunches on the top of Blue Sky Basin.
